I'm dying my hair back to black. My friend i decided to add some coloured chunks in our hair. I'm having a bit of trouble to decide what i want to bleach in my hair, and the last time i had a hair cut was last year in September, so most of my layers have been grown out. What's the effect of dying purple over the 'orange?' 2) will it get lighter if i bleach again over the orange? 3) My hair is going to grow eventually, regrowth isn't going to be so pretty when i dye my hair that. They were decent priced for the ones i got but recently went up to about $300 worth like $40 more a piece then they were. OK so my hair's fairly dark brown (dyed) but I have about 2 inches of regrowth at the top which is a mousey brown colour. I have just dyed my hair myself with a permanent colour, red brown. My natural colour is copper colour with a splash of auburn through it. I love my natural colour, but I was curious what I would look like with darker hair. The colour I dyed it is lovely, a really rich reddy chocolate colour. The only thing is I started to feel a bit anxious as I don't want to stay this colour forever and I don't want to be frequently colouring my hair as I love my natural colour. I have really pale skin and dark blue eyes. I have extremely bleached hair (practically white), but my natural colour is totally multicoloured. Its dark blonde at the crown, red at the hair-line and really dark brown (almost black) at the back. im naturally pretty dark so i just kept getting full head of foils till my hair was this color http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee180/novaneal/blonde.jpg so because i was pretty well all blonde we started doing just my re-growth... problem is she doesn't do my re growth the same color as my blonde.. its orange!! http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee180/novaneal/untitled.jpg i said to her last time i was there cant you do my regrowth lighter like the lighter blonde and she said no! what tha?! why is this? do i need a new hairdresser? lol because if i keep getting my re growth that color ill end up a red/orange head.. oh & sorry for blacking my face out.lol i hate when people put photos up looking for compliments so i thought id do that..lol more

I had a large chunk of hair ripped out of my scalp...about an inch in diameter. The bald spot is very smooth. It has been about 3 weeks and I am not really seeing any regrowth.
